Suddenly an image caught his eye. He looked to see what it was. The pirate captain had just swung across on a boarding rope and entered the melee. "Get him!" Angus jumped at the sound of the voice. "Dear Gohd, get this oot of mye head." Angus tried to ignore the voice that was penatrating his mind. He concentrated on the figure of the captain. Angus wanted to make sure he didn't miss this time. "Hold the bow lightly but firmly," Angus thought out loud. "Choose yer arrow, nock yer arrow..." "You stupid arrow! You're nothing but a stick!" the voice mocked. "Would ya shut uup ya poxy bastard, I'm tryin' ta..." Suddenly something hit Angus. It felt as if a giant fist had punched him in the stomach. He turned to look for its source. He saw what he feared the most, a spell caster. Angus turnedhis bow to face his new threat when he was hit again. The force of the blow broke the rope that was supporting him. Angus' body fell from the mast. Suddenly Angus couldn't breathe. A pain coursed through his body as his lungs began to burn. Angus struggled to his feet and tried to catch his breath. But he didn't have time. He saw a group of pirates closing on him. He looked for a weapon. His axe was still in the mast, and his bow was no good for hand to hand. Angus knew that he was finished. Slowly he walked toward the group of pirates with his hands up. "Punch right and duck!" Instictively Angus did as he was told. His punch landed on the pirate to his right. The pirate fell backwards, surprised by the attack. Angus ducked just in time. A second pirate had taken a swing at him with his short sword. The blade passed just above Angus' head and hit another of the pirates. "Kick forward. Grab the sword to your right." Angus kept following the commands. He couldn't tell who was on his side, but he wanted to meet the man who had saved his life. Soon Angus was looking at a circle of dead bodies. Pirates lay everywhere. Angus couldn't believe that he had caused this much destruction. He never fancied himself a fighter before. "Better late than never," he said as he raced toward the attacking vessle. He saw everyone engaged in combat. Radan was tearing through pirates right and left as others attempted to board the pirate ship. Angus looked and saw that the tide was still flowing in favor of the attackers. This just wouldn't do. Angus jumped into the fray with only one thing on his mind. Nobody was going to hurt any of his friends.
