Ixy puts away his latest >sketch work, and begins to concentrate on the form before him. As Moria tries to touch Amachiak, the Great Squirrel at the side of the unconcious warrior jumps up. It stands in front of her master and is clearly trying to protect Amachiak. "Hmmm... This needs more subtle means," thinks Moria and probes the mind of the small fellow. Slowly and steadily Moria presses on to the mind of this brave Squiichar. And then, quite unexpextedly, there is resistance. So strong, thet even a hardened psionist, like Moria, winces in pain. "Ooooo...." comes a sound from the small man. Moria tries again, but the resistance is stronger and comes immediately. "Nooooo... Stoopp... Painn..." The squirrel bends over her master as to warm him. Now Moria sees the mind which shielded Amachiak's tortured brain. It was the squirrel! Slowly Moria extends her mind to the mind of the squirrel, and finds only feelings. Protect. Warm. Help. Love. Obedience. "why did you try to hurt me, why do I know your name, why is the painart in you so strong, why this place is so... so... safe..." Small voice starts to flutter out of Amachiak, partly recognizable, partly only muttering and chittering. "NO! THE QUEEN!" Amachiak jumps up, but his weak legs cannot endure his weight, and he collapses again. But this time he is awake... Amachiak, The Leader of the Squiichar.
