Again there is a change in location. When their vision cleared, the DQers saw before them a foreboding castle. It seemed from its very foundation to its tallest spire a truly dreary place. It contained more dark corners than the Dragon's Inn could ever hope to attain, an architecture that spat in the face of gravity and logic, and an inescapabel aura of gloom. 'Raelf: "Whoa, dudes. Modeled in early Frankenstein." "It's the Dark Master's tower" Miro announced. The group gave a collective stare at Miro, who nonetheless shrugged it off. "Hey, wanting the get out of this realm isn't exactly a NEW idea for me. Being prepared for that event includes knowing the territory. I have to make chances like this even better, after all.". He paused, waiting for his point to sink in. "Anyway, I believe there's an entrance right up here. I'll scout ahead." The last is said as Miro unsheathes his weapons. There is a brief shimmer on the blades, and then Miro's form disappears from view. After recovering from the display, the group continues on in silence. Soon the forementioned entrance looms into sight. There is a period of wariness. The setup seemed TOO easy, despite the 'help' from the entity they had received. But at least it wasn't the front door, and it was _definitely_ their best shot at subtlety and surprise. The party walked into a rather wide room with no visible markings and only one exit. Slowly the room was begun to be crossed. But after a few steps, a blinding light and transfixing sound filled the room. The DQers tried to cover eyes and turn away bodies, but it was too late -- the PCD had done its work. ======================================================================== Michael Sander 344lwkc@cmuvm.csv.cmich.edu AKA Lancos Erredan
