"We'll wait here until Spondeux comes to claim us," Kaldir chuckled. "Won't this be a happy reunion." Kaldir then went into a makeshift tent to rest, leaving the guards to watch him. Ixy started to check on the surface thoughts of the guards. They were typical- 'when is this going to stop' from one 'This is so dull' from another 'I'd rather be fighting than guarding' from a third, and 'Poor guy' from the forth. Ixy stayed on the last for a moment from him Ixy got the distinct impression that he felt sorry for Ixy. Ixy looks at him. "Hey you! come here." The guard looks carefully at Ixy and stays where he is. "I can't hurt you." Ixy raised his bonds to emphasize. The guard came over. Ixy's voice dropped to a whisper. "You seem like a decent guy. Why not help me get away. Find away to get the other guards to go, and we can make it look like I surprised you." The guard replied "Of course not!" but his mind showed he was giving the idea some serious consideration.
