Dusk is very worried |> and it's starting to get to me, as well." |> Alaric looks worriedly over at his mate, who has returned and is sitting down leaning against a tree. "Most spells don't affect her this way, at least not the minor ones such as dispelling charms or wards...it's just certain spells that seem to affect her this way." He looks over at Khisanth again, and she seems to be looking a little stronger, albeit a bit pale. She pours some water into her mug and takes a drink.. Alaric looks back at Zebron. "I've never seen her try that one before...I'd wager she probably got it out of some books she found in our travels." He sits down, and beckons Zebron to do likewise. "She found a couple of what seemed to be spellbooks in the ruins of a very weird-looking city. She could read some of them, and the books didn't feel evil, so she took them. She was surprised at being able to cast some of them, because they seemed very powerful. Casting one of those usually leaves her a bit fatigued, but I've never seen her get nauseous from one..... "When we were looking through the ruins, she mentioned something about her grandfather coming from this city. I think perhaps that the type of magick in those books was developed for use by a certain race. Since Khisanth has some of that blood, she's able to cast the spells, but not being full-blooded, she can't handle the side effects as well as the original spellcasters could." "But that's what I think. Fortunately, she doesn't use such spells very often, and it does worry me every time she does." The black-and-white cat has since flown down and alighted on Khisanth's shoulder. She seems to be having some sort of conversation with it. Alaric smiles. "It looks like she's got some sort of familiar now...." "Let's go see how she's doing".
