Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn Subject: Kloote [inn]: Enter before Hell breaks loose Message-ID: <1992Nov18.194517.20674@rhrk.uni-kl.de> From: kring@efes.physik.uni-kl.de (Thomas Kettenring) Date: Wed, 18 Nov 1992 19:45:17 GMT Kloote and his two companions entered the Inn and moved to the bar, where Kloote asked, "Can I have the back room for a couple of minutes?" Littlefair gestured a "why not?" and the three retired to the back room (where once Rhoan Pathkeeper, William the Younger of Tell, and others had had a contest throwing axes and the like). From the Rabble, someone shouted, "Do nothing I wouldn't do!" and the rest of the Rabble laughed. Listener groaned. He had heard that too often already, and always from the same guy... Shortly after that, Voop-ki the jailer - a small, elderly man - entered the Inn. As soon as he closed the door behind him, a noise could be heard outside. Two persons rushed by him, and the noise turned out to be caused by several elementals out in the Plaza. There was a lot of commotion, and Voop-ki barely managed to stay out of the way. He climbed on a table to get a better view of what was going on outside - those silly gawkers were blocking the sight. -- thomas kettenring, 3 dan, kaiserslautern, germany ...and then the dragon ate the princess and the knight, and he lived happily ever after. -- Grandma Addams telling Wednesday a story (paraphrased)
