Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn Subject: [MISTA][L] Brycur Lends a Hand Message-ID: <1etuuiINNoh5@bigboote.WPI.EDU> From: patchman@wpi.WPI.EDU (Peter Bruce Harper) Date: 24 Nov 1992 19:14:26 GMT Brycur felt the Inn rock as the smaller Earth elements smashed at the walls. It seems he had fallen asleep briefly and has missed quite some interesting happenings. He quickly gets up from his table and draws his sword. He runs towards the door but stops quickly as he notices Luthor crouched over the fallen Serene. 'What..' he begins, but stops as he sees the despair in Luthor's eyes. "There must be some real trouble" he thinks as he continues out the door of the inn and into the frey. As he walks out the door he is met by utter chaos. He sees a giant fire, a tidal-wave, a tornado-type thing, and several semi-human things that appear to be made of stone . . . one of which is much larger than the several others who are attacking the Inn. Brycur has never battle elementals before, but he has heard of them, and of their power. He looks about the battle scene, unsure of what he should do. He hears the walls of the inn splintering and cracking under the assault of the small Earths so he decides it would be best if he got them away from the inn. He levels the sword and suddenly a fireball hurls forth from it, landing amidst the small Earths, knocking them back from the wall. The Inn's magic was strong enough to sustain the blow, luckily. Bryucr moves immediately between the temporarily stunned creatures and the wall of the inn. He usually does not like to risk his life if their is no immediate monetary reward for himself, but he owes much to the Inn, his adventures, his business, and his friends all stem from the Inn. Plus, he feels a certain comradary toward Littlefair that he guesses most people who enter the Inn must feel since Littlefair is such an amicable person. While considering this Brycur has noticed that several of the small Earths have gotten back on their feet and are heading towards him, bent on destroying the Inn. He begins to swing his sword in a broad arc, hoping to keep the small Earths at bay until he decides what he should do. One of the small Earths lies broken on the ground, unmoving. Brycur draws some strength from the fact that these things can be destroyed, but how much will it take to kill them? Brycur thinks back of another time when he defended the Inn . . . and wishes that his good friend Murell was here again to fight by his side. He always felt invincible when fighting with him. Admin: Anybody that can help, please do, as Brycur does not know how to destroy the small Earths, and he can't swing his sword to keep them away forever! -Brycur with His Back Against the Wall . . . .LITERALLY!!
