It's mouth still moving, but no sound emitting. "It's only muted, there isn't a silence region around it" he spoke to the others, who could easily hear with the noise of its growl gone. The dagger, meanwhile, sunk deeply into the monster's right shoulder, or at least what passed for a shoulder on it.
