Well...not quite broken. But certainly not in good shape. The knee had to
be immobilized. Emotionally numbed by the events of the last few hours, Colin
moved deliberately and with little thought at his task.

He set his pouch at his side and rummaged through it, pulling out several
pieces of wood. Several were shattered to pieces, but two survived intact. The
ranger screwed them together into a single 4' length, then though better of
it and took them apart again, to be tightly bound on each side of his battered
left leg. Each motion revealed small pains and strains in his muscles that the
healing potions which saved his life had not been able to attend to in dealing
with his more serious injuries.

Colin completed tying the knots, and tested the contriviance. It was crude,
but would serve. Absently, he noted the absence of Captain, Azzar, Malieu, and
Thk, as well as the presence of 'Realf, Marcel, Rhoan, two others he did not
know, and...Kron.

For long moments half-elven eyes lingered on the ex-guardsman. Then he
looked away and did not look back.
