Zebron was exhausted.

Coming down to the common room of the inn for some breakfast and to meet his
compantions was a welcome event after staying up all night. Years of training
had made him stand guard throughout the night. He wouldn't have done it if
his 'activities' of the evening had gone unnoticed. He might not have done it
even if he did set off alarms. But it was a mage. Mages were trouble. He
should know.

Even the magic of his hat could not hide his fatigue behind the illusion of a
moon elf he now wore. Khisanth had picked up on it. Maybe the others did too,
but he could just tell them that he had trouble sleeping. But he couldn't
even consider fooling Khisanth.

The elf welcomed the gentle establishment of mental communication between them.
He sent his memories of his 'Night on the Town' adventure with his friend,
hoping that she could understand that it was something he had to do.

But his nocturnal activities might have a price. They needed to leave, and
leave soon, before anyone could connect the roving band of adventurers with
the crime. If any of his other companions asked the reason behind the rush,
he could tell them that time was important, or that the false face of a moon
elf made him uneasy. Which were all true.

Zebron itched to get on to the road, where he could catch some sleep in the
saddle while in the company of allies.

Dusk cawed in agreement.
