Kloote, who was still talking to Voop-ki the jailer, jerked and wriggled. "Aaaa! Something cold crawls around on me!" He stood up and shook his leg. There was a small bulk inside the trousers... He still was eyed by the Rabble curiously, and as he jumped around and caught their looks, he got really mad. Some reptile was about to eat him, and those... those... they GRINNED! He hopped to the back room, closed the door behind him, and dropped his trousers. There it was: a gecko or the like, clinging to his leg, looking at him. He took its tail and ripped the lizard off his leg, lifted his trousers, went to the window and threw the reptile outside. With a fierce determination he closed his belt and returned to the main room. "Barman, this place is in an intolerable state. There are LIZARDS crawling up patrons' legs! When did the health police inspect the Dragons Inn last time?" Littlefair frowned. "The patrons bring all sorts of animals in here. I can't prevent that. Wizards need their familiars. Surely it belonged to somebody." He shouted: "Did anybody bring a lizard in here?" -- Lifilis Kloote, conjurer and artist aka Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage aka Thomas Kettenring
