See you >later!" And he was off. > >The rest of the group went off towards the Diplomatic Residence & Hostel, >chatting with old and new friends, and catching up on old and new times. > * * * Much later, at the Diplomatic Residence... Radan moved slightly in his seat. The party was going on and he was enjoying it. In fact, some of the city's finest were there. Also, some of the worst. Radan was drinking from a coblet, a wine that he had not tasted in years, a sweet warm taste, with berry juice, and cinnamon. He sat in the parlor, because it was getting too roudy over in the guest common room. Karl's poor butler was beside himself with grief, there were damages beyond his wildest dreams, and saints among the damned here at Karl's party. Radan was starting to think to himself, and ignore the sounds around him. He was thinking of what he needed to do. Save his friend Shade. He knew that he was alive, he just knew it. One thing troubled him. Raden. It sent a chill of fear through his spine, and Radan fumbled with his drink, as he started to drink more of it faster. After a couple of hours talking to a gentlemen that had no Idea who Karl was, Radan set off to look for Angus, and for Bronwen, Tillie, Mileiu, Ornigan(if he was around, Karl, and anyone else he could talk into going with him. After what seemed like oceans of liquid, smoke, food, (the GODS knows what), and other unpleasantries that sort of resembled the food at the buffet, Radan located Angus, and Bronwen(figures). Motioning to him to go to the kitchen, Radan set off to locate some of the others. No sign of Tillie or her friend. That's ok, no prob there, they hadn't seen each other for it seemed to Radan, *YEARS*, and so looked for Karl and Ornigan. Karl was easily located, he was in the kitchen already, for there wasn't as much Chaos there as in the common room. Ornigan didn't seem to be around and there wasn't much to say about him. Radan didn't know him that well, and he seemed very busy with his Mage Guild contacts earlier that day. Which was OK. Radan reached the kitchen, were there seemed to be no one, and there was only a few lanterns there. Much of the Food had already been consumed, and the ale was the only thing on everyone's mind, and who is going home with who. The cooks left for the night, after the heighth of the party, now it was on it's down-slosh, and it didn't look pretty. But in the kitchen, it seemed more queit than it should be and Karl seemed thoughtful. "I know this seems odd that I am asking you all here to go on, yet again, another mission. I can not pay much to you, only what I have left of the money I have to give at the end of tomorrow. I have considered for sometime, and found that there was a member of the crew that >somehow< we have missplaced, a member that was origanlly part of the escort crew that had actually made it most of the way >back< to Generica. His name is Shade, and he was in the battle with the Pirates, but when I checked up on him, he wasn't on the ship, and most of his personal affects were still in his room. I have what little he left behind, but its not much. I believe that he was left out at sea, and that he is still alive. I know somehow that he is still alive. I need help in this endeavor, and I have asked you here today to help. I know that it is really soon for another Damned fool adventure, but I do need help. Karl, I need the money that was promised at the beginning of this escort, I need supplies and a fast ship. I went looking around before, but there seemed to not be anyone that was willing to go out in this kind of weather. I am going out tomorrow to find a ship, even if I have to buy it." Radan finished everything he had to say, and waited patiently for any answer to his request for help... The faces seemed thoughtful, pondering Radan's proposition.
