Amberle helped Miscrir to his feet and turned to see if anyone was
going to help her with him. Artimian seemed to be occupied with one of his
"pets" and well Arthsplunt just didn't seem right. So with a heave she began
to half carry half walk Miscrir out of the area of the battle. She didn't
even pause to see if the others were coming.

Artimian mumbled something about getting his backpack and departed in
the other direction, leaving Arthsplunt on the edge of the burnt grass. He
scratched his purple beard wondering who he should follow. Eventually he
pulled a coin out of one of his pockets and fliped it. It promptly vanished
at nose height. "Oh. I forgot about that," he said and bounced after
Amberle.

Struggling under Miscrir's weight Amberle half chuckled thinking about
what a sight this must be. A almost six foot tall human being supported by
an almost three foot woman. The alleyway opened onto a simularly dark and
nondescript passage that during the day might have even passed for a street
but in the absense of working street lamps seemed like a tunnel. A faint
glimmer of light from a street lamp showed at the end of the alley and
she made struggling for it.

Amberle tried to think if ever she had been this far into the low city
and failed miserably. Strange things were said to occur in this part of town.
Like miscelaneous fights, burning people who get up, and people who just appear
inside other people. It seems that these occurances aren't so far out of place.
But the gaurd would be here soon if for no other reason but to make sure low
city doesn't burn down without an audience.

Apearing in the circle of light cast by the street lamp Amberle began
to come up with an idea of where she was and started to head off more
deiberately. Presently she felt as if a dark oppressive weight suddenly
lifted. She turned to see if it was Miscrir but it suddenly dawned on her
that it was just her leaving the worst part of the city and for once beating
the odds and not getting mugged on the way.

Up ahead she saw two people enter a building. Both seemed not to
notice the strange spectacle that she was making. Amberle struggled up
to the building and noticed that it was some kind of inn. Smiling she
deposited her charge and threw open the curtain that was in place of a
door and ran head first into the stomach of the largest female she had
ever encountered. Straining her neck she looked up and saw her make a sign
to be quite. Amberle smiled this seemed to be the perfect place to hole up
for awhile. Without any further ado she rushed out the door to pick up
Miscrir.
