He will shield when necessary (e.g. to prevent enemy scryers from picking up info). On Eski's mind right now are a jumble of things: excitement at the thought of adventure, fear at the thought of encountering dragons possibly, satisfaction at having picked up a large amount of copper Generican currency recently, and calculation as to how to set up a gemworker's shop in Generica after the adventure, as well as curiosity about the swamp, things needed to rescue Amachiak's queen, and the adventurers now seated at the table.
