ADMIN: Sorry about the previous one(could you erase it? I am a clueless
newbie so I suppose that is my only excuse). Could someone mail me and tell me
if I did this incorrectly? (please??)

The thunder roared, and the lightning flashed just outside the window.
Mitchell felt the power gathering and knew that they had come for him. [Oh
well], he thought to himself, [it was bound to happen eventually]. He had
known that they would not permit him to remain here for long. After all he had
been branded an outcast and a heretic and now they were going to kill him or
drive him out of this dimension entirely. It didn't look like they cared which
occured, but he certainly did.
[Don't have much time], he thought to himself. But had known this was
coming for some time and had prepared for it. Looking around his modest home
he picked up the last of his arcane texts, and deposited them inside his
enchanted travelling bag. He knew that he would not be able to ever see his
home here again, and leaving it after living here for so many centuries would
be difficult considering how much he had become attached to it.
He detected them outside his mental shields again probing to get into
his mind where they hoped to immobilize both his psi and thaumaturgic powers in
one blow. Deciding not to give them the time they would need to break down his
shields he traced the portal runes upon the wall and began his incantation.
"MADAVALLA, TEVEALLA, ZARAXI, TELEKA!!", he shouted the final words of
power. Immediately the power gathered to the runes and they began to glow
brillantly and light up the portal. Not waiting for another attack he set the
runes to feed power back into themselves and jumped through the portal.
And found himself in a very strange room. For one thing it had what
appeared to be 19 corners and for another it had a very stroong aura of magic
around it. There was also the matter of the bar and tables. [Hmmmm this isn't
where I was supposed to end up], Mitchell thought to himself. Just then the
portal flared brillantly sending light into every corner of the room and
promptly closed in on itself with a loud crash and roar.
Mitchell looked rather sheepish and thought about how he must look.
He would appear to be in his early twenties(if he had been human), and indeed
he did look to be a very handsome human. His hair was blond and his skin was
fair, but his eyes gave him away, green and catlike and with an air of age
about them that made most people shiver. He was dressed rather simply in a
fashionable, loose fitting, pair of jet black trousers and jacket, with a white
shirt and a blood red sash tied around his waist. Around his neck hung a
rather plain looking amulet and at his waist there was naught but a dagger and
his apparently empty travelling bag.
Deciding to make the best of it Mitchell reached into his pocket and
pulled out some coins and said, "Some of your very best wine if you would be so
kind my dear barkeep".

PS: (hope the wordwrap worked this time)
