In a moment another old man in a tunic an vest opened the door. "Who's this then?" "I am known as Segoi," replied Segoi. "He is seeking a boat," replied the first man," do you have one for trade or sale?" "I may if the price is good." Segoi eyed him strangly, he sounded too much like a deevil for his tastes, but in his current situation he could really do nothing about it. "How much?" he asked Eb. "Well I have a little 15 footer I can part with, but she has sailed with me over the waters for many a year and is dear to me." "I would pay well for a boat that has gone far and seen many shores without mishap, has she ever wrecked?" "No. We've looked after each other over the years, she has never done me wrong. So I ask 30 gold for her." Segoi pondered a monent, there was something familiar about this man something in his accent that reminded Segoi of a long time ago in another world. Now however was not the time to ponder such things. "30 gold it is," he replied and after fishing in his pouch for some coins, he handed the man a jewel. "It is worth the same or more, and I am in need so I give it to you." "Well then, the boat is mored just off the beach, you'll know it by the markings one on each side of the prow. Now go and be about your business." With that he turned and walked back into his shack. So Segoi to did turn and bid farewell to the other man who led him to Eb, and walked down to the shore to find his new boat. After some time he found it mored about 20 feet from the tides edge. Segoi looked to make sure it was the right boat. 'No use in being labled a thief here!' he thought. The boat bobbed quietly on the surf, the two strange markings either side of the prow watching as Segoi waded out to it. The boat was in good repair, and even had a small stock of dried meat. Wasting no time Segoi raised sail to catch the westering wind and sailed out of the Harbor of Generica where he would not come again for a long time.
