As you may remember (if you were here), that's how the practice of calling the latter (just) "Littlefair" got started -- to avoid confusion between the two characters... >Or, if you remember that far back, Luthor/Lathan/Lancos? Shoot -- _I_ wanted to say that . And "throw" Lucas and Lance (to mention two people I can think of off-hand) in there too. >>Yes, I am being silly, but someone else had to have noticed the similarities >>in the names that appear herein ... or am I mad? Okay... I'll shut up now. Hey, nothing wrong with a little silliness. Besides, this isn't the first time I've discussed the subject (though the other times were via e-mail). If you look at The Directory of Generica (which really needs an update, but that's another subject), I'm sure you'll find dozens of further examples of similar names. Of course, considering the number of chars that have appeared, and the number of posts we've had (recently topping 6500, I believe) in the group's history, perhaps it's not that surprising. In fact, what might be is that there hasn't been more occurrences of repeated names, like the current two Lex's (one a form of 'Raelf and the other an intelligent book), or the time a.p.d-i had two people named John Constantine ... Anyway 'nuff said, at least for now... Mike Sander 344lwkc@cmuvm.csv.cmich.edu
