was probably looking for an inn or something and I thought to myself, "what a
perfect victim!" He was dressed in dirty, old rags. He carried a sword on his
back and a dagger on his side. He was about 6'2 and looked musculer. I wasn't worried though, I've taken advantage of tougher looking guys. But the most thing that cought my eye was his his pouch. It was filled and was hanging from his belt. He could act poor but he couldn't fool me!
"How do you do, sir? May me be of some assistance?"
"Yes, that would be delightful. Can you show me the way to... Dragons
Inn?" Dragons Inn is a well-known place and if he didn't know where it was he
couldn't be very experienced... just the way I like them! "Oh, yes. I know
the way, wait here and I'll come right back... " I told him. I walked around
the corner and told my friends to go to Dragons Inn. I came back and he was
still there aimlessly lost. "Thankyou, my good man. You shall be rewarded most
generously!" he said.
We walked for a while through the city. We took the long way, of course.
He told me people called him Vagabond and that he was told to go to Dragons Inn
to search for something. But the most interesting thing about him was his
tattoo. It was a tattoo of a dragon and it looked as if it was burned into his
hand. He was so sincere and rightous, almost made me feel guilty about what I
was going to do to him... almost.
We reached the Dragons Inn by midnight and we stopped in front of pub.
"Here we are, the famous Dragons Inn. Now about my pay... " I said with a grin.
My friends stepped out of the shadow and the only things on my mind was gold,
women and wine. But the night did not turn out the way I thought it would... if
I only lived long enough to tell the tale...
