[ADMIN: Ok, this time it's for real. Sort of: I didn't get much in the way
of summaries. I don't know that's because the end of the year is coming up
(Maybe I should've waited until after X-mas break to start this up again. Oh,
well...), or maybe that's because there's some confusion over who to send
things to. Anyway, I hope for more next week...]

                            General Events:

Well, since the last TWIR, we've had a major-league storm, a Founder's day
party with unexpected events (a demonic invasion and <seperately> some
transformed people), and a forest popping up where a battleground used to be.
And that doesn't even go into most of the threads, as far as threats to
Generica, and/or the general amount of Good Deeds{tm}.

Concentrating on events of the last week or so, we still find the town a busy
place. Low City is dealing with the after effects of a meteor landing in
the middle of it. And from the same wormhole/trajectory, a spaceship crashed
into the Great Blue, and its crew is started to recover, and trying to find a
way off Nexus. Also, there is a recent rush of new chars, which (IMHO) is
always good to see. Speaking of which:

                           -- Thread Summaries --

[BBD] Submitted by: Mike Sander
It's been a while since any synopsis was done, so a little background will
probably help. BBD, lesser known as Bekdatusi (Bek for short) Bennison
Dranzotten, was in command of forces, and trying to slowly take over
Generica, though buying out land and other subtle schemes. That was before
a group of adventurers stepped into the scene, with Kryalla Simuel turning
BBD to stone and the others handling (or so they thought) his minions, until
they fled at BBD's transformation.

Velric had been one of those underlings, forced like the others to do BBD's
bidding through the blue, rune-covered bracelets they wore. But after some
long, hard experimenting he finally broke free, and help distract BBD while
Kryalla was delivering the decisive blow.

However, Gutt Man and Myrnien are still under bracelet control, following the
limitations and specifications the magic on them demands. Myrnien is still
trying to use her unusual dreaming powers to remove the bracelet, but has yet
to meet with success.

Meanwhile, Kaalzic has hired a gang to watch out for Myrnien, or anyone else
with the same kind of bracelet. And Tarkyn has returned, looking for any of
the old group, though he doesn't seem much like his former self.

<ed: Actually, I might not be normally handling this summary, but since I
know what's going on, I'll do it this time>

The thread essentially started when Arcania Dorval gave Velric the DarkSeed.
Out of this, Velric gets more power than he's ever had, enough to counteract
the curse of aging backwards that he had long had. But Arcania doesn't give
something for nothing, and thus the DarkSeed is slowly corrupting Velric to
follow her obediently.

So far though, Velric has maintained his will, largely resisting the call of
the 'Seed. But there were two areas he could not resist: first in creating
some servants for himself, and second in freeing -- and torturing -- BBD.
Velric now controls Bek, and totally enjoys the "revenge".

Meanwhile in Generica, Kryalla Simuel discovered the presence of some kind
of demon, and an ally in the form of Karadin Redbane. The two went off to
discuss what they might be able to do about this new possible threat to
Generica, only to be surprised by the arrival of Emrikol, who had been
Arcania's prisoner until very recently.

[MI] Submitted by: Aaron Humphrey
Alfvaen awoke in Luthor's home Shadehaven to find himself in the presence
of the god Azpiazu. Alfvaen had been in a coma ever since the Demon Queen
of Spiders placed a blockage in Azpiazu's power flow (Alfaven is actually a
dead spirit brought to a semblance of life by an amulet provided by
Azpiazu), and now Azpiazu wanted Alfvaen to fixt it. Alfvaen went to MI
Headquarters to see if Moriarty could be any help. He wasn't, having taken
on other responsibilities in Alfvaen's absence, but he recommended Alfvaen
go see 'Raelf and gave him a message on another matter to take to the
Lighthouse.

Shortly after Alfvaen left, Fire showed up and wanted to hire Moriarty to
find out who her parents were. He agreed to take the case, setting
Queriche on it.

Alfaven and Azpiazu visited 'Raelf at his Lighthouse. There, Azpiazu
forced 'Raf to fulfill his heart's Desire, so Azpiazu was moved into
Alfvaen's amulet, they were given a map to find the blockage, and referred
to someone named rook...

[Ornigan] Submitted by Aaron Humphrey
Ornigan, third and youngest son of the Count of Maybold, receives a letter
from his middle brother that their father is ill and may die soon, and
entreating him to return. Unbeknownest to him, he wears an amulet that
originates from Thorn, Archmage of Politics, through which Thorn can
perceive, and to some extent control, his actions. Thorn believes that
Ornigan knows the location of the secret labs of his ancestor, Count
Ornigan IV, a mage of great power and infamy from two centuries past, and
is willing to do anything to obtain the power they promise.

Meanwhile, a mage named Draxil Mandobar and his apprentice Dasha are about
to arrive in Generica to give a talk at the Mage Guild that will gain them
not a few enemies...

[SQ] Submitted by: Aaron Humphrey
After arriving back in Generica at the conclusion of the [R] thread, Radan
Tsran resolved to go back and find out what had happened to his friend
Shade(sure, he'd gone overboard, but Shade wouldn't let that stop him). At
a party at Karl's, Mistletoe, Maleiu, Brownen, and Angus agreed to return
to help. Radan said he would get a ship, and Brownen said they could take
care of getting a captain. Radan met Delmara and took her back to his room
at the Dragon's Inn, where she spent the night. ('Nuff said. :-)

While Radan went out and got his ship ready, Mistloe, Maleiu, Brownen
and Ornigan decided to break the pirate captain Remi out of jail. Alfvaen,
who was investigating Ornigan under orders from Archmage Urcohea, joined
them as Elstree, and fetched Queriche to help guide them. Along with the
Kelsie, they made their way to the Cartographer's Guild where they found a
map of the Gaps beneath Generica, including a possible entrance to the jail.

That evening, the Kelsie journeyed into the Gaps and eventually found her
way to a hidden exit to the jails. She freed Remi, and his first mate
Vanshar whom he refused to leave behind. Unable to return the same way the
Kelsie had entered, they were forced to pass through the territoy of the
subterranean gang Six Feet Under, wreaking havoc on them in the process.
After emerging from the Gaps, they were met by Maleiu and Brownen, and
together they made their way to the Spitting Cobra, where Trawm had agreed
to hide them for the night.

The next morning, they made their way through Low City to the docks. Angus
had one of his strange fits, and was attacked by a mob outside the Dragon's
Inn. Mistletoe rescued him, and together they made their way to the docks
as well. Unfortunately, Vanshar was recognized as they made their way to
Radan's ship, the Crimson Moon, and the Seaguard converged on the ship.

The Kelsie coaxed some air-sprites into the sails of the Crimson Moon, and
they got a head start away from the Seaguard, who were hampered by the
crowded harbour. Remi took over as captain, over the protests of the first
mate, Blythe.

Meanwhile, Shade was living in an aquatic kindgom rife with intrigue...

We return to the story as they have reached the point where SHade
disappeared. Radan, as the only prepared to survive underwater, is
venturing down alone to find out what happened to Shade. He is captured by
the aquatic kingdom; the Kelsie, in an attempt to follow him in dolphin
form, is driven away and forced to return to the ship. Meanwhile, Remi and
Vanshar are plotting to take control of the ship and return to a life of
piracy...

Radan made it to an undersea world, where he meets Shade and a none-too-
friendly mage. Radan was taken "prisoner" and then questioned by thought
prboe, and the Mage went off to get Shade, the Duke and his family, and start
trouble on their world under the sea.

While the ship is waiting for Radan's return, Remi has a private chat with
Brownen in which he insinuates that Radan may not return, and that they can't
wait for him forever, since the Seaguard may catch up with them. Further, he
points out that they can't just go back to Generica without being thrown in
jail, and that he would probably be hanged.

Ok, that's it for now. See you next week (Monday?)
