Post by: Mr. Sinister -- Segoi Synopsis: After loosing a game of gro'nok to a deevil in Junciton Segoi has returned to Generica in search of a ship to carry him on his adventures. _____________________________________________________________________________ Segoi stroad quickly along the street. Shortly he came to its end at the docks of Generica. There he paused and considered. 'I am going to need a ship. However I do not know if the Seaguard will 'lend' one to me, but time presses and I must try.' Again he started towards the offices and barracks of the Seaguard. The Leviathan Tower loomed before him, there was a soldier on duty standing grim and unyeilding before the gate. "Halt, state your business." "I come for a ship," replied Segoi. The guard looked at him, his grim visage then broke into a smile. "A ship you say. And pray tell where are you going to get one? You would mabye like to borrow the Capricorn." "Ey," Segoi said cautiously, not sure whether he was being made fun of, "a ship I need, if there be one to lend." "Lend?" he guard began to laugh, "Lend! Move along now and waste no more of my time. The Seaguard has no time to waste on the likes of you!" Segoi's eyes widened at this, but he kept his temper and left quickly. Walking again he quickly formed a new plan. 'If they will not lend me one, then I must find and buy one. The fishermen of this city must have spare or unwanted ships, I must find one!' The day was wareing on and the sun was climbing into the sky as Segoi walked towards the shore just to the north of the gates of Generica. A short walk took him into the village of the fisher folk and down to the edge of the Blue. Here sitting on the shore was on old man. He looked up as Segoi approached. "Well young one what do you do here on this fine day?" "I am in search of a ship to carry me on a journey. The life of a good man is at stake." The man looked at him from under his wool cap. Looked long and hard. Then rose with some difficulty. "Come with me then and we'll see if you can find one among the fishers here. Come." With that he led Segoi back to the huts gathered on the shore line. Here they visited many men who might have a spare boat, or one for sale. At last they came to a small hut on the outskirts of the village, here the old man stopped and knocked. "Eb! Are you home?" he called.
