[VAMPQ] The Trouble with Potatoes

Synopsis: The questors were having dinner with Pericles
when Rathan came into the dining to warn them that it was
a trap. Rathan battles against the forces of darkness and
makes some surprising discoveries.

Character Controller

Rathan Barbar SWV3752@RITVAX.ISC.RIT.EDU
Ah (Blood spider created by Rathan)
Turion Mr. Sinister...

As chaos erupted around the questors, Rathan targeted
Pericles. "CHAKAN!" shouted the insectoid with one claw
fist extended towards the vampire. The only impressive
feat to happen was the soufflé went flat. "By the -!
Ahhhckk, I can never get that sonic blast right. Mau'dib
makes it look so easy."

The large insectoid stood still while the armours and
his companions slugged it out. Soon those with hair had it
standing on end. Satisfied with the charge built up, Rathan
released the bolt of electricity at the vampire.
Unfortunately it bounced off into an armour, slagging it.
"May the Ancestors take you, you son of a lizard!" With
that said, Rathan leaped onto the dining table with the
intent to charge the vampire.

Once again things were not happening according to the
insectoids plan. The legs of this table happened to be set
fairly in, so that the legs closest to Rathan acted as a
fulcrum point. The net result of this applied physics
problem was that Rathan went down, while the other end went
up sending a large bowl of mashed potatoes into the surfer's
face. "Don't you just hate it when the vermin get into the
food?" replied Pericles to Turion.

From admist the fray a tiny voice shouted out, "Don't
worry, Boss, I got the bite on the vampire." "Aaaaarrggghh!
I'll obliterate you for that." The vampire grabbed the tiny
creature from his neck, and flung it into the salad bowl.

"If you killed him, I'll see your bones cleaned by the
sands of Garukasesh." The large insectoid jumped to the far
end of the table with his spear out-stretched to stab the
vile undead through the heart, only to find threads of mist
where the vampire stood. Not wishing to waste time, Rathan
brought forth the Sign of Chaos, the Logrus. Using the
magical lens, he scried for the vampire, only to be
surprised to find the Symbol of the opposing order, the
Pattern. Upon a second examination this familiar sign was
seen to be flawed. "You fool, don't you realize that all
who use the Broken Pattern will be destroyed by the flaw?"

"Yo, Boss! I'm being chased by a lizard. It was in
the salad bowl," Bwap, "and someone is sneaking up behind
you," stated Ah as Rathan stumbles down, while trying to
remove mashed potatoes from his face. "Thanks for your
belated cry of warning."

"I'll give you a belated cry of warning, Imposter!"
shouts a Cambion that looks like it could be Rathan's twin.
"Imposter? A wimpy Shadow saying this to me, I'll rip your
heart out for that," replies Rathan as he picks up the
demon-spawn. Noticing the brigade of trolls fighting with
demons and what looks like a devil for the first time,
Rathan decides it might be most prudent to let the two
opposing groups take care of his Shadow. With that thought
completed, the insectoid hurled the demon-spawn into the
midst of the battle.

Rathan proceeded to attack several trolls that had
broken away from the main group. While the battle was
slightly in the insectoid's favor, Rathan was starting to
tire, and it was only a matter of time before he fell to
the trolls.

"Uh, Boss? You know that your side is still bleeding
form that spear wound?"
