[admin] Sorry about those false starts...

A man walks out of the clearing wearing leathers and
bare arms with band of gold on them.

"My name is Keernan. I noticed you were headed for
the city. I too am headed that way; perhaps we could travel
together. A journey is more pleasant when you have someone
to talk to, and the roads can be dangerous for lone travelers
such as myself."

Keernan's face showed no expression of emotion and
the statement of danger seemed a bit false for this six
foot tall man. He was well built, with dark skin and black
hair. In his left ear an earring hung. His movements were
graceful and silent and he carried only a long knife with
a mountain lion's head on the hilt. As if the hilt came
to life a cougar's roar filled the clearing. A sleek black
cat sauntered over to Keernan and lay down beside his feet.
This was going to be a night of tales and drink around the
campfire.

Deadeye and Keernan talked for the entire
second watch as Grundle slept. The large cat had to
be calmed bu Keernan when it saw the dinosaur. Deadeye
used a spell to keep the dinosaur asleep until dawn.
Shortly before dawn Grundle awoke screaming.
"He's going to die! we have to hurry!"
Running about furiously Grundle began to break down the
camp as he hurriedly explained his dream. Apparently
he had had one of his rare prophetic dreams. It
had centered on a warrior named Aleirin who had
fallen down in the Dragon's Inn bleeding from his side.

"Will your cat ride in our push wagon?" asked
Deadeye, "or is there some other way for it to travel?"

Keernan looked at the cat and it leapt into the wagon.

"Oh, Grundle, this is Keernan. He will be
travelling with us for a while."

Grundle looked at Keernan as he finished strapping
the Galimimus into the harness at the rear of the wagon,
as if to take stock of him. He then climbed into the wagon
and sat near the purring cat. Deadeye and Keernan climbed
in, Deadeye at the wheel. Deadeye gave a short shrill
whistle and the wagon bolted forward, rapidly gaining speed.
