Those near the door of the inn, if they had been silent and listening
very carefully, would still not have heard their approach.

Silent as the night and swift as the wind, Firecat and his steed
Shadow the wolf had returned.

Entering the pub, Firecat sat at a two seated table and invited Shadow
to sit. Being only four foot high, Firecat had to kneel on the chair
for his face to even reach over the table, but when it did, those who
knew him remembered the fun and laughter that they liked about him.
 

	"Sorry barkeep, but I think you would remember us and forgive
me allowing her inside, but we've just been on a long journey and are
both tired and very hungry."

	"That's not a problem, Firecat, and I must say that Shadow is
the most well behaved animal I've had in here for a long while" The
bartender said with a smile.

	Shadow gave him a wolfish grin, her tongue lolling out of her
mouth in typical wolven fashion.

	"What'll it be?"

	"I believe two steaks and a plate of fries would go down
famously...and to drink, I think a bowl of milk for Shadow and the
usual for myself if you don't mind...and keep the change," Firecat
said, pressing a pouch of coins into the barkeeps hands.

	"Why thankyou!"

	
	Firecat leaned back  in his chair and seemed to remember
something. "Oh...and could you please bring me a couple of cushions?"

those who don't remember, Firecat is a shapeshifting gnome, about four
feet tall who can shapeshift into a 6-foot long, 4-foot tall flaming
tiger.]
