I've tried to steer clear of the related topics and replies in
this general area, but I felt it important here to put in my tuppence worth.

I'm not keen on this idea.

In the case of the Tourist Guide FAQ, for example, there are
periods where there is no update activity, and then there are periods
where I'll do an update one week, and another one or two the next. I
would like to keep the flexibility of letting people know when these
changes take place, and posting the FAQ under those circumstances.

I (would also like to) think that seeing the various FAQs
posted at different times _by different people_ would be more likely
to encourage the participation of newcomers rather than a single,
sort of "all-knowing" type post. I think that post activity begets
post activity, so even though a large number of ADMIN postings might
appear daunting to some, it may well also encourage participation (or
at least questions) by sheer volume.

The number of FAQs in this groups shows, I think, the interest
and dedication in the Nexus universe in direct proportion to participation.
Maybe some kind of change _is_ necessary, but I don't think the above
proposal is it.

And, of course, my comments are meant only to express opinion,
not to offend, hurt, etc.
