Ok, short post here to set up the stage of battle.  Lemme see
some action here peoples!  Or e-mail if you're too busy to
write at the moment.  We can always manipulate time some how
to stick ya in later.  :)

Kelanen quickly glanced about taking in the details of the well
lit plaza.  A glittering stainless steel square reflected the
surrounding lamplight from the center of the plaza where it was
situated.  The reflected light illuminated well tended build-
ings, a smooth cobblestone street worn slick by the passage of
travellers' feet, and the growing sliver of darkness that seemed
to swallow all light daring to touch it.  From it, dreadful
howls could be heard.

The four netherbeings emerging from the tear in the fabric of
reality started gesturing towards each of the lantern posts
encircling the urban plaza.  One by one each lamp was doused
by the Dreads' black sorcery submerging the area into a pool of
darkness.
