	The tension that had originally attracted her attention had waned,
thankfully.  She sighed softly and eased the shields which cut her off 
from the others in the room.  The comforting buzz of thoughts immediately
returned, muted by the general level of intoxication of the room.  Something
was out of place.  There was something _wrong_ outside.

	Moria's eyes narrowed slightly as she placed her unfinished drink 
on a nearby table.  The person sitting there never noticed where the
drink came from, he simply wondered at his good fortune and enjoyed the
fine brandy.

	Moria stepped outside carefully, tense.  Outside of the inn's
protective spells, the feel of magefire was a beacon.  She could feel
the power of the mage using it.  She could feel it flare and weaken
as it encountered some opposing force.  She felt that, also, a cold 
thrumming in her blood, a chilling breath in her throat.

	The battle, for that is what it seemed to be, was not far.
She quickly started off toward it.  The singing in her blood grew
more insistant as she drew closer.  By the time she reached the plaza
her blood felt as if it was at a boil.

	The plaza was lit only by the shimmering threads of a magical
net and the blazing light of a sword blazing with magefire.  Shadowy
figures, large and demonic, stood against the warrior and one other.
With a shout she drew her blades.  The long daggerblades glittered in
reaction to the unbound power around.

	 "Come little demons, " she taunted aloud. "Face real power!"
