Whoa, wait a minute, *submachine gun*???  In Nexus??  I was always
under the impression that no part of nexus had ever developed gunpowder
(well, with the possible exceptions of Cathay and Etrus'ta) and that 
trans-planar people would know this- and ditch a weapon that an uninformed
and sometimes paranoid native population wouldn't take at all well to.

Have him carry a crossbow under the coat, maybe?
