The goblins had been largely defeated, and were more interested in running than further fighting...first, Jones switched magazines in his pistol. Then, he retrieved his machine gun..the finish had been scratched, and it needed a good cleaning, but other than that, it was OK. Guldur was doing well as an interrogator... BD appeared to be going after another prisoner; which was just as well, since the original goblin seemed to be somewhat the worse for wear. Jones went to Guldur, spoke quietly to him for a moment (primarily discussions of unrelated matters, but Jones tries to look sincere!) Then Jones goes up to the wounded goblin prisoner and {initiating standard good cop/bad cop behavior} says: "My friend over there hates goblins. He really does...and he wants to do awful things to you. Me, I believe in live and let live...so if you cooperate, maybe I can protect you. Otherwise...[Jones smiles]. The goblin (being nobody's fool) rather quickly develops some rudimentary language skills, and starts babbling about being peaceable, and dearly loving human beings. Jones smiles again and says "Glad you made the right decision. Of course, you know why we won...we prayed to the ONE TRUE GOD...[Preaching deleted to preserve some modicum of good taste]! Jones than says to the Goblin "However...I cannot tell you the name of the ONE TRUE GOD, until such time as I am convinced of your faith. Go spread the word amongst your people...." [Jones isn't quite ready to release the prisoner, but does give him some water]. Jones then says [quietly] to BD...Well, we can get the God deal started...but my intuition is telling me we may get some really heavy duty heat when we implement it. We'll go for it if that's what you want...but are you *_sure_* you'd rather be a god instead of Leader, King, El Presidente', or whatever?
