As Jones and Guldur (Guido? ;), manage to indoctrinate the hapless
prisoner, who now appears to almost be a 'true believer' (of whatever 
it is his captors want him to believe in), Foxmore finds a nearby spring
which miraculously has escaped complete contamination with Goblin Gore.

While trying to get most of the gore removed and generally cleaning up, 
he thinks about the irony inherent in the fact that although some people
insist on the gore, very few actually follow thru with the other, more
uncomfortable, things that accompany such violence.

Upon returning to the group, he sees that some carrion-bird things have
already landed and are squabbling over their too abundant feast.  The tang 
of gore soaked earth seems to hang over the area like a mist of foreboding.
