Jones and the group spotted a likely hill approximately 1 click
(kilometer, if you prefer) away from the battle scene. His
intuition was bothering him..something was wrong, and he didn't
know what it was. The group located on the top of the hill,
and Jones talked with BD and Bodger about 'digging in'...in
this case, scooping out a couple holes in the ground for cover
and concealment, and general disturbance of the soil around the
group for the purpose of slowing any assault by enemies on
foot...

Jones then went to the wagon, extracted a battle axe, and proceeded
to use it as a pry-bar on a portion of the wagon. Soon the
hidden space came open, revealing several dark green tubes, a
dull black weapon (an M60, belt fed, gas operated, calibre .308
machine gun), and several linked belts of ammunition. [Jones grinned...
Goblins, hmmm? Let them come!]. Jones carefully inspected the
weapon, linked two of the belts together and slung them over
his shoulder in the manner of a sash, and loaded another belt
into the weapon. He pulled back on the cocking handle, and
released it, generating a satisfying 'clunk' as a round fed into
the chamber...

He said to the group "As soon as we've rested up from the battle,
we need to get into town; if nothing else, Smith smirked, we
can hide amongst the population. {And, he thought, hostages
are a viable option if the deal goes sour..}"

Jones then said to Bodger "Tell me, Bodger, you mentioned that
you're a communist. That could be useful....if it's true..."
