Crombie pushed open the door to the Inn and made towards an empty table.
Sitting heavily he signalled Serene his desire for a pint of bitters
and some stew. His neck was stiff from poring over musty tomes in the
great library the last ten hours. His search was about as hopeless as he
had thought it would be, but he wasn't going to give up yet.

Rolling his head to get the cricks out of his neck, he noticed that
Listener was up in his normal perch and he was addressing the inn.

"Ah good bard," said Crombie, loudly above the din of the crowd, "Mayhaps
there is a tune you know that I would like to hear. While enjoying the
festivities last Founders Day I happened to hear a tune that reminded me
of home. By some chance to you know the Jolly Beggars Reel?"

Reaching into a vest pocket, Crombie pulled a couple of coins out. "It's
been such a long while since I visited home."
