Summary: Fire Returns to Generica
Keywords: Fire Blade

------Lets try this again.
---This time I used Include. I hope the post will make it this time.

Fire was returning from an eventful although unchronicled
adventure (Earthshock died, but in case someone wants to finally
finish it, I'm leaving what happened open.) Fire returned to
Genercia a little bit richer and a lot wiser. Her intuition had
told her that something was going wrong in Generica, and she
needed to go back. Something was going down.
The road was bright a well lit, the sun was high in the air,
hardly the classical atmosphere to be entering into danger, but
despite this the hair on Fire's neck was raising like the hair of
cat. Even Flare, her horse, was acting uneasy.
Fire had found that a good horse was good insurance, she had
been lucky with her choice of animals, Flare's sense of intuition
was almost as good as Fire's own. Fire had chosen the horse
before her first trip to Generica, she had chosen Flare over
stronger and prettier looking animals because of the intelligent
look in her eyes, it was a lucky choice that had already saved
her life once.
Flare reared back, and Fire leaped to the ground, she could
fight from a horse, but she was better on her own two feet. It
moved out of the forest with the swiftness of thought. At first
Fire thought the attack was aimed at her, but when it flew back
in the other direction, she realized it was circling back on
something else. Something or someone, if Fire had learned
anything on this trip it was that she wasn't the type of person
who could sit back and ignore another person suffering, if these
things (multiple wing beats told her that there was more than one
of them).
As Fire moved into the forest she saw a man being attacked
by what appeared to be five bat winged halflings. They looked
harmless, like cherubs, but Fire saw not even a glimmer of
intelligence in their eyes, much less the bright glow of warmth
typical to most hobbits. These were creatures of magic, and like
many natural animals, they had hidden weapons.
Fire before they she saw was close enough to see, fire knew
the creatures had claws, the smell of blood drawn form their
victim, and the scratches told her all she needed to know. In an
instant Fire drew two blades. She crouched down and waited, as
two of the creatures rose up to make a dive bomb attack. When
they reached they apex of her flight she threw both knives
striking their wings and sending them falling to the ground, as
Fire had planned. Two seconds later her next knife imbedded a
wing into a tree, three down and two to go.
The remaining 'cherubs' spilt apart circling Fire so she
couldn't follow both of them. Fire closed her eyes and
concentrated on her other senses, the beating of their wings
would alert her to any attacks the could make. When the rush of
wind came at her, she leap to the side and followed through with
a roundhouse, combining the strength of her blow with the
critter's own momentum. The blow snapped it's neck.
The creatures body burrned bright blue for and instant, and
then it exploded, knocking Fire off her feet. As she rolled
backwards to retain her balance, the last creature dove in. There
was no time, even for Fire to react, is was headed straight for
her jugular at blinding speed, or rather was headed straight for
her jugular. It was if an unseen hand had gently pushed the thing
aside, causing it to smash into a tree. She turned to see the
victim rising to his feet. He was a red skinned man, wearing
light blue pants and a dark blue shirt with what appeared to be a
picture of the head of a eagle with the sun behind it. His
features were strong, and sharp, almost carved on his face.
"Thanks..." he stammered, "I couldn't concentrate enough to get
those rejects from Oz off of me."
Fire reached out to grab him, as he fell to the ground.
"Shh, you need a healer."
He murmured "I'm gonna get the wicked witch who sicced those
flying monkeys on me." and then passed out
.
Recap: I can't find a copy of my last post from many mouths ago.
So I'll have to recap it. Fire had just save a man from evil
winnged Hobits (Well they only looked like Hobits) and she was
trying to get help. I asked if anyone had a medic character that
could help, so I didn't have to come up with one of my own, and I
was ignored, one of the many reasons I haven't posted in a
while.)
<Never mind, I found it>

Fire looked down at the man she had rescued, his features
were strong with high cheekbones and a strong chin. He was like
no one fire had ever seen beforee. His skin was a redish brow,
slightly darker then the yellowish hew of the orientals she grew
up with, but not black either, like Q...what's his name,
Moriaty's assistant.
Fire applied bandages using a spare blanket she kept for
suck emergancies. "If you were hurt any more, I'd have to get
into my silk supplies, and they are worth a fortune." Fire looked
down at the unconcious man. "Uh, oh, you don't look so good.
Looks like the claws on those things had some sort of paralizing
poison." Fire spoke to the prone man.
"With the blood loss, I beter get you into see a Doctor or
cleric."
The spoke roughly and quietly "Doctor nothing, I want my
lawyer."
Place the man on her hourse, and tied his legs so he
wouldn't fall off. "I know it's a burdon Flare," Fire spoke to
her mount, "but don't worry girl, Generica isn't far now."
Fire mounted up and rode towards town.

<At this point, I'd like to ask again, is there an established
Healer or Medic at the inn, or in town somewhere who would like
to help?>
