He tosses a coin to the barkeep with his free hand(the other is busy holding the head) and walks out the front door. Gingerly setting the head on his horses' saddle, he kneels to the ground and murmurs to himself. Nodding, he takes up the head once again and mounts the horse himself. He starts riding into the woods, the motions of his movement awakening the head. "Hull?" The woman's voice is groggy, but still holds an edge of steel. "Where in the devil are we going? Watch what you're doing, oaf! I'm getting slapped with branches! Would you answer me?" "We're looking for somebody, Marissa. Now be quiet." "Who? Why can't we look in the morning? I'm tired. You woke me up. OUCH!" A branch slaps the head, making a large crack. "I TOLD YOU TO BE CARFUL!" Marissa's shouting echoes loudly through the quiet woods. "SHUT UP!" Hulls angry roar drowns out her protests. "That's better. There's someone out here who needs help, and we're going to help him. And no, I don't know his name, or why, I just know he needs help, and there's magicians involved." Marissa groaned. "Oh gods, not that again. When will you quit this silliness about helping other people and take care of me?" "I'm always trying to take care of you, dear." "Oh sure. That's what you always say. But I'm still just a head. You can't ever find the time to take care of the your wifes' problem; no, you're too busy solving other people's problems." "We've been through this before..." "No. I'm not talking about it any more. You just go on with your quest. Just don't mind me. When you're done, I'm sure I'll still be here. It's not like I have any choice." Marissa fell silent, sulking. Hull sighed, then spurred the horse to go faster, into the darknes. Kurt
