Maritza talked for awhile to the four men at the door. They seemed to be
having a pleasant conversation. Then without warning one of the men grabbed up
a sword and tried to attack Maritza. His actions were halted and he could not
move his blade further. Silently, Maritza thanked whomever it was who put up
the Anti-Violence field or she'd have been Kitty Kibble right now. The man put
his blade away and left the inn. Soon he was followed by the others. Letting
out a deep sigh Maritza Walked back to the others and sat down. She ordered
a drink to calm her nerves. The others did not know what had just happened.
Why hadn't he struck her? Telendram, without saying a word to Maritza, went to
the owner and asked what was the reason for the lack of violence. When told,
she actually looked surprised at the answer. She thanked him and went back
over to the others. Then she did a surprising thing. Telendram stood up on
her chair and told the entire populace of the inn that she was buying a round
of drinks for everyone.
Then Shara began to dance again to the music that was being played. She danced
in front of a mercenary soldier and started to get him involved with the dance.
His movements were awkward compared to hers, but she kept him going. Many eyes
seemed to be transfixed on her form. As she danced and whirled about with the
mercenary her long blonde hair billowed as if caught in a breeze. Her tail was
playfully wrapped about the man's waist, keeping him close to her body.
Telendram drew out a flute from her cloak and began to play with the music. Her
tail was swishing about and she was purring like a happy kitten. She slowly
joined the musicians nearer to where they were sitting.
Meanwhile Maritza just did a dance of her own, letting the music guide her
movements, like Shara had done before.
