.... The elf rises to his feet, with a
grace typical of his kind and strolls across te inn to the newcomer.
"So good to see you, sir, may I request your company?" He accompanies
this invitation with a bow of his head, and turns, indicating a table.
The small creature opens one piercingly yellow eye and yawns, indolently.

The elf realized as he turn around that this new stranger is not a full
elf. Although he has all the characteristic of an elf, dark silvery
hair, fair complexion, and a typical height of most elves, he's not fully
elf. Perhaps, at most, half-elven. All that can be seen of the clothing
of the stranger are hidden beneath silvery-gray clothe that covered about
90% of the body.

With a weary look on his face, he replies, "Certainly. Nice to have some
friendly face in this part of the world," and follow the elf to the
indicated table while still taking sips from his mug of Elven Ale...

"So, what brings you here, my friend?" enquires the elf, pleasantly.
He smiles, "please forgive my curiosity, but I am a scholar, and I seek
new knowledge whenever I can". He doesn't seem to bear any bad feeling
towards the half-elven sailor, as many elves do. He sits back, patiently,
to hear what the newcomer has to tell him.

With the intension of getting some news from this part of the world, the
newcomer pleasantly smiles and replies, "I'm on a quest to search for a
certain piece of information. Please forgive me if I refrain from
telling you at the moment what I'm searching for as to the fact that all
strangers can be trust. I don't know you yet." He realized that being
an elf, this fellow can be trust more than any of the other strangers in
the room.
Without pausing for any sort of replies, he adds, "But pray tell, good
friend, what is thy name?" He then takes another sips from his Ale and
wait patiently for an answer.

"My name," replies the elf, "is Laren, and this," he scratches the
small creature which twines lovingly round his neck, so that the
creature stirrs, stretches it's claws and opens both of it's eyes,
"is Ambor". "We haven't been here too long, a matter of a few
months, and it is always pleasant to chat with others over a drink."
"I have been travelling around this country now for several years, in
search of knowledge and adventure also, and found both, perhaps I
could assist you in your quest, although I understand if you don't
yet trust me, after all even the most gentle hands can hold a
poisoned knife" He smiles and takes a small pouch off his belt, and
feeds Ambor a piece of meat from it. "Please, though, even if is is
just to satisfy my curiosity, where have you hailed from, and where
do you go?"

"Nice to make your acquaintance, Laren." And looking at the strange
creature of Laren, "...And yours, Ambor," while pausing to yell for another
mug of the liquor he has just finish. "I am called Earendil, of the line
of Feanor. Perhaps this will give you a clue at the moment as to my
origin and destination, a place where all are forbidden. You might say that
it is fruitless, but I will tell you that nothing is impossible."

While talking, one of the less noticeable barmaid delivers his liquor.
Earendil accept it with a smiles and a wink. Turning back to his new
acquaintance, a good-looking elf by the name of Laren or so he calls
himself at the moment, he ask, "But friend, since I am new here why don't
you tell me some of the recent news that passed around here. I would be
very happy to hear of something different at the moment."
