Hey you. Yeah, I mean you. I've seen you around here before,
lurking in the shadows, watching what was going on when you
thought nobody was paying attention.

Well, we were. We know all about you.

What I want to know is, what are you waiting for? How many
times have you read a story on this site and thought to yourself:

'I could do better than that crap!'?

Well, here's your chance.

You see, the people that have been on this site for a long time,
some of them since its formation, (henceforth referred to as the
geezers) are too proud to admit that this site is a ghost town.

Sure there are a few people going through the motions, posting
the occasional FAQ or directory. Sort of like janitors on the set
of a movie that has wrapped. All the action is over with, but they
still go through the motions.

But none of them are writing anymore, with the exception of the
highly admirable Steve Hutchison. Oh, they are still happy to
provide a lecture about how you ought to do things, but none of
them contribute any meat to the skeleton.

That's right, the geezers just sit around and talk about how good
it was back in the old days, when THEY were writing. But they are
tapped out, their creative juices have run dry. But that is not a
necessarily bad thing.

Now is the time to make your mark! Get the directory, or the FAQ,
or the Tourist Guide, and start writing. YOU can make a difference.
YOU can contribute, and breath a little life into this ghost town.

Don't worry about your first piece, it may not be great, but at least
you had the guts to give it a try. You will improve with practice, that
is inevitable.

So go ahead. Before this place is unplugged due to lack of interest.

By the way, a good place to start would be:

http://www.rdrop.com./~Hutch/stories/stories.html

There is a little ' ~ ' in front of Hutch by the way. Tell him Jeff sent you.
